I am a 48 year mother & grandmother that lives in Virginia. I fled an incestuous situation at the age of 13. While living on the streets, I turned to drugs and alcohol to mask the pain. I spent decades feeling worthless, ashamed and believing that something was wrong with me. During those years I married 3 times. Each of my husbands were very abusive! My first husband I met at 15 years old. He was violent & abusive. He was a long-distance truck driver & taught me to drive as well. On one instance He threw my puppy out of the window of the rig going 70 mph, broken ribs and black eyes were frequent.

After escaping from him I turned more reckless & destructive. Now the single mom of 2 daughters, I ended up in prison. During a very intense inpatient therapy program I for the very first time learned how abnormal my childhood & young adulthood had been. Peeling back the layers was not easy and didn’t happen overnight but I started to re-learn and re-build my life. I also talked about many events that I had been taught by my mother should remain secrets and never for any reason brought up.

I now love myself wholly and feel so grateful to be alive to share my journey to help others. I am a motivational speaker, life coach,and spiritualist. I love life and am appreciative of so many things that most take for granted. I feel I can help those that have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental or emotional abuse among just a few to name.
